Meetings in Italy counting
towards the national championships:
Roma
February 16/17 Book II-III
Livorno
March 23/24 Book IV (450 points IIRC)
Viterbo
April 6/7 Book I -II
Lanciano
May 25/26 Book III-IV
Trieste
June Historical 700-1000 AD (Arabs
and enemies)
Cagnes
September news coming soon
Pisa
October news coming soon
Bologna
November Book I-II
Milano
December Book I-II-III-IV
All 400AP unless otherwise stated. 32-0 scoring system, except I believe
Cagnes-Sur-Mer which should be using the French 3-1-0 system.
Pisa is a team competition, 4 to a team, each in period (by book dates) -
similar format to Grandson.
Cagnes-Sur-Mer is in France (very near Nice), but is included in the Italian
Championships for the first time this year.
No meeting in Genova this year, as far as I am aware?
Details and results as and when available on www.fiw.it
There is also a 3-person team event in Cannes, March 2/3. Details of this
meeting can be obtained from Franck Brock (fbrockattila@wanadoo.fr).
Note: Cannes and Cagnes-Sur-Mer are not the same place!!! (Although
within a few km's :-).
Some personal observations:
Pisa last year had 16 teams of 4, and was a very good meeting, both
from a gaming and social point of view.
Roma, Pisa, Bologna and Milano are the bigger meetings, although the
others are not far behind, and the inclusion of Cagnes in the Italian
calendar should make this very enjoyable meeting larger.
